On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is continuing the crackdown to arrest dangerous criminals who are absconding abroad, in the continuation of which, Punjab Police, while conducting an important operation, arrested another fugitive criminal who kidnapped and killed a citizen in Toba Tek Singh from the United Arab Emirates and transferred him to Pakistan. According to the details, Nadeem Ashraf, proclaimed offender, kidnapped and killed a citizen in Pir Mahal police station, District Toba Tek Singh in 2022, the criminal later went into hiding and fled abroad. He was traced in UAE, red notice was issued from Interpol, after completing the legal proceedings, he was extradited to Pakistan. Spokesman of Punjab Police said that the total number of proclaimed offenders and fugitives arrested from abroad this year has reached 30.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the police team for arresting the dangerous fugitive from abroad. IG Punjab directed that the accused should be punished after completing the legal proceedings. IG Punjab further said that with the cooperation of Interpol, FIA and other departments more criminals who are absconding abroad should be arrested and brought back to Pakistan.
